I've already written a review for the 1TB Fantom GreenDrive 1TB USB 2.0/eSATA Desktop External Hard Drive GD1000EU, which I've owned for three years (and has even accidentally fallen to the floor a few times!). I purchased this 2TB drive because I needed more space and also wanted something to back up all the important files off my 1TB, just in case it ever decides its days are over. I absolutely love these drives.
It's super fast, and it is exceptionally reliable. You don't have to do anything special to turn the Greendrive off (unlike some other external drives), you just hit the power button and you're good. There's no special software needed to use the drive (something I found to be an absolute pain with the WD My Passport 1TB Portable External Hard Drive Storage USB 3.0 Black portable drive I used to have. It also crashed and burned within five weeks of purchase--just in time for the returnpolicy to run out!).
It takes about a minute for my drives to be recognized in Windows 7, but no biggy. The thing I cannot stress enough is that, once you get them up and running, they are fast and very reliable. I love both of my Greendrives, and am hesitant to try any other brand now because I have had bad luck with others--but have never had a single issue with either of my Greendrives.
